JK reports 111 COVID cases, 1 death in last 24 hours

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 111 COVID cases while one person died due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Monday.

32 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu and 79 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 3,40,833.

One death was reported from Kashmir Valley due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far, 4524 persons—2,197 in Jammu and 2,327 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.

Moreover, 127 patients recovered during the time, 43 from Jammu and 84 from Kashmir, they said.

So far, 3,34,976 patients have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 1,333 —344 in Jammu and 989 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far, 50 black fungus cases have been confirmed in JK, the officials said.

They also informed that 99241 doses of COVID vaccine were administered during the time in Jammu and Kashmir.
