Two JeM militant associates held in south Kashmir, says police

Pulwama: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two militant associates of Jaish-e-Muhammad outfit in south Kashmir Pulwama district.

In a statement, the police said that with the assistance of 44 RR and 182 Bn CRPF, police arrested two militant associates of outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad involved in providing shelter, logistics, and other support to the militants as well as in transporting of arms, ammunition, and explosive material for the militants in Pulwama.

According to police, the arrested militant associates were in touch with JeM commanders and were involved in the transportation of arms, ammunition and were providing other logistic support to strengthen the militant network.

Police identified the arrested associates as Adil Ali, son of Ali Mohd Bhat, a resident of Achan, and Asif Gulzar, son of Gulzar Ah Dar, a resident of Hajidarpora.

Incriminating material of proscribed outfit JeM has been recovered from them and a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station litter, the statement ends.
