Kulgam: Another military operation against militants has started in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said on Saturday morning.
One operation is already underway in Anantnag’s Sirhama village where officials have confirmed the exchange of gunfire between militants and armed forces.
In Kulgam’s ChakiSamad area, police have confirmed the start of an operation against militants as it took to Twitter and announced the news.
Officials said that a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in ChakiSamad following information about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, officials said the hiding militants fired upon them ensuing the operation.
