Handwara: A minor boy was on Sunday late evening mauled to death by a leopard in Rajpora area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
An official told Kashmir News Observer that a 7-year-old boy was attacked by a leopard in a forest area outside his home.
He said that the boy identified as Yasir Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmad of Golipora Rajwar was critically injured in the incident.
He added that the boy later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, officials said, wildlife officials have launched searches in the area to track the leopard.
