Anantnag: Two militants were killed in an ongoing military operation in Tangpawa village of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, Police officials said on Monday.
An official said that a joint of team of police, Army and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched search operation in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering the operation.
“So far, two militants have been killed and the operation is going on,” the official said. Kashmir Zone Police also tweeted about the killing of two militants in the ongoing operation against militants.
