Jammu: A military operation against militants started in Sidrah area of Jammu district on Wednesday morning.
An official said that on specific inputs about the presence of militants cordon and search operation was launched by a joint team of armed forces in Sidrah area.
As forces zeroed in towards the suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
Till this report was filed intermittent exchange of fire between militants and armed forces personnel was going on.
