Gray Langur captured in Sopore, released in nearby forest area

Sopore: A gray langur was captured in Batapora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district by the Wildlife Department on Saturday, officials said.

An official said that the Langur was captured after the department received information about its presence in the area.

He said it was roaming in the residential areas, thereby posing a danger to people and their livestock.

The official said soon after getting the information, it was captured and was subsequently released in the nearby forest area. (KNO)
