Hideout busted in JK’s Poonch, arms and ammo recovered

Rajouri: Armed forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district busted a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunition including three AK rifles and 10 hand grenades on Sunday.

Officials said that a joint team of Army and Jammu and Kashmir police launched a Cordon and Search Operation in Bachian Wali village of Surankote in Poonch district during which a militant hideout was unearthed under some rocks.

They said that arms and ammunition have been recovered from the hideout that includes 3 AK rifles, 3 AK rifle magazines, 28 bullets, 10 hand grenades and one UBGL.

Officials further said that the grenades have been taken into possession by forces and will be destroyed through a controlled explosion.
