Srinagar: Srinaagr police on Wednesday advise people to install CCTV cameras in their houses and shops to avoid burglaries. Police have called the CCTV a biggest tool to investiagte and solve the cases.
In a tweet, Srinagar police wrote, “There have been case of theft/ burglaries in houses/Shops in city, these were invariably without any CCTV cameras. Some cases were solved & recoveries were made. Advising all those who can afford, to install CCTV cameras as it is biggest tool in investigation & solving the case.”
Meanwhile, a senior police officer told Global News Service that District Magistrate order under CrPC 144 have also been issued and non compliance of the same may lead to FIR under sec 188 of Indian Penal Code.
