Srinagar: The administration of Jammu and Kashmir on Wedneday said that it will allow Muharram 8 processions in Srinagar for two hours in the morning.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri said that the procession will be allowed from traditional route for two hours from 6am upto 8am.

“The decision was taken after taking all the aspects of the prevailing situation into consideration,” he said.

Notably, the procession will be carried on the traditional route of Shaheed Gunj to Dalgate – a route which was thrown out of bounds for the processions in the backdrop of law and order situation since 1989.
