Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei extends support to Palestine, Musk accuses him of ‘stoking fires of hatred’

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei

A post on X, formerly Twitter,  by Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, supporting Hamas soldiers for their fight to defeat Israel whose forces have been committing occupational crimes in Palestine for decades, was censored for allegedly violating rules of the microblogging site.

The social media giant owner Elon Musk accused Khamenei of “stoking the fires of hatred.”

“God willing, the cancer of the usurper Zionist regime will be eradicated at the hands of the Palestinian people and the Resistance forces throughout the region,” Khamenei wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Khamenei shared a video of people fleeing rocket strikes and gunmen at a concert near the Gaza Strip. The tweet, though accessible, has been censored for violating rules of the microblogging site.

Tweeting the now-hidden post on X, Musk wrote that Khamenei’s official stand is clear that the “eradication of Israel is the actual goal, not just supporting Palestinians”. “That will not happen.”

“Khamenei’s official position is clear that the eradication of Israel is the actual goal, not just supporting Palestinians,” Musk responded. “That will not happen. All that actually happens, decade after decade, is a never-ending cycle of violence and vengeance. Stoking the fires of hatred isn’t working. Perhaps it is time to consider something else,” he tweeted.

The ongoing conflict in Palestine escalated following retaliatory attacks by Hamas soldiers on Israel, triggered by the perceived occupation crimes committed by Israeli forces across Palestinian territories.

Subsequently, Israel launched a fierce military campaign, resulting in brutal attacks on Palestinian civilians.

Reports emerged of the alleged use of banned chemical weapons, specifically the ‘white-phosphorus bomb,’ on Palestinian civilians, causing significant concern among international observers.

Tragically, within less than three days, the violence in Gaza claimed the lives of more than 450 people, underscoring the urgent need for a ceasefire and international intervention to prevent further loss of life and suffering.
