Industrialists, actors, cricketers among 8,000 invited for Ram Temple consecration on Jan 22

Ayodhya: As preparations are underway for the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, scheduled for January 22, 2024, the distribution of invitation letters for the consecration ceremony of ‘Ram Lalla’ is currently in progress.

The plans to send these invitations to nearly 6,000 individuals attending the ‘Pran Pratistha’ including industrialists, cricketers, actors, Hindu priests, army officers and musicians.

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has extended invitations to approximately 8,000 dignitaries, including prominent industrialists such as Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani, and Ratan Tata. Invitations have also been sent to notable figures like actors Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, saints, priests, Shankaracharyas, religious leaders, and esteemed individuals, encompassing former civil servants, retired Army officers, lawyers, scientists, poets, musicians, as well as Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan recipients.

The distribution includes journalists who played a role in realising the Ram temple. Among the anticipated invitees are Sudhir Choudhary, Rajat Sharma, Arnab Goswami, Shweta Singh, Dainik Bhaskar MD Sudhir Agarwal, Jagran Prakashan CEO Sanjay Gupta, and non-executive chairman Mahendra Mohan Gupta, along with India Today editor-in-chief Aroon Purie.

Invitations are being dispatched through traditional mail, accompanied by PDF versions shared via WhatsApp. Additionally, recipients will receive a link on their mobile phones to generate an entry pass, with the mandatory requirement for all attendees to carry their Aadhaar cards.

The three-hour program, commencing at 11am and concluding at 2pm, will restrict attendees from leaving until the prime minister departs for security reasons. Cell phones are advised not to be brought to the venue.
