Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is set to commence the second edition of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, ‘Bharat Nyay Yatra,’ starting from January 14.

The march will span the entire country, traversing from Manipur in the Northeast to Maharashtra’s Mumbai in the west.

The Bharat Nyay Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi, is scheduled to cover 85 districts across 14 states during its 6,200-kilometer journey.

The states included are Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.

The mode of travel for the Bharat Nyay Yatra will primarily be buses, with the objective of maximising accessibility for the public.

The march will incorporate intermittent short stretches of walking.

The announcement of the Bharat Nyay Yatra was made by Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal during a press conference on Wednesday.

Referring to the previous Bharat Jodo Yatra that spanned from Kanyakumari in the South to Kashmir in the North, Venugopal termed it a “historic yatra.”

He highlighted that Rahul Gandhi’s upcoming yatra would focus on engaging with the youth, women, and marginalised sections of society, building on the experiences gained from the first Bharat Jodo Yatra.
