Modi, Amit Shah and LG Sinha pay tributes to CRPF personnel killed in Pulwama attack

Srinagar: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in a militant attack on their convoy in Pulwama on this day in 2019.

The attack occurred on February 14, 2019, when a convoy of vehicles carrying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on the Srinagar-Jammu highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at Lethapora in the Pulwama district of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in death of 40 forces personnel.

“I pay homage to the brave heroes who were martyred in Pulwama. Their service and sacrifice for our nation will always be remembered,” Modi said on X.  

In another tweet, Modi wrote, “Remembering our valorous heroes who we lost on this day in Pulwama. We will never forget their supreme sacrifice. Their courage motivates us to build a strong and developed India”.

Home Minister of India Amit Shah said, “I bow to the valorous martyrs of Pulwama, who laid down their lives for our motherland. Their supreme sacrifice will always be remembered. Nation will forever remain indebted to our bravehearts,” he said.

Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha wrote “Humble tributes to the bravehearts who sacrificed their lives in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack. The nation will forever remain indebted to their exemplary courage, supreme sacrifice, and selfless service to the motherland.”
