Karnataka: On Monday, three college girls were assaulted with acid in the corridor of Government College in Kadaba, Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district. The perpetrator, identified as Abeen from Kerala, was immediately arrested by people.
The victims, all Second Year Pre-University College students, sustained severe facial injuries and were promptly taken to the hospital. The assailant, donned in a mask and hat, got inside the college campus and attacked the students as they prepared to enter an examination hall.
Upon hearing the victims’ cries for help, fellow students and staff rushed to their aid. The acid-thrower attempted to flee but was apprehended by the public and subsequently handed over to the police.
