3 slapped with PSA for ‘anti-India’ activities, shifted to Anantnag and Kupwara jails: Police

Baramulla: Three people were booked under Public Safety Act in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district for “repeated anti-India and anti-social activities”, Baramulla police said on Monday.

In a statement, the Baramulla police booked three persons Mysir Majeed Malik, son of Abdul Majeed, a resident of Seriwarpora Pattan; Abdul Ahad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohd DAR, a resident of Dar Mohalla Palhallan and Khursheed Ahmad Waza, son of Late Ghulam Ahmad, a resident of Tantraypora Palhallan under Public Safety Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority.

The statement further stated that the booked persons have been detained and subsequently lodged in district jails of Kupwara and Anantnag.

The police said many cases are registered against these persons and were involved in disturbance of laqw and order and subversion. Despite their involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their anti-India and anti-social activities, reads the statement. (GNS)
