Two drug peddlers arrested in Sopore, another in Shopian

Sopore: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Sopore and Shopian and recovered contraband substances from their possession.

In Sopore, a police party apprehended two persons at a checkpoint established at Nageen Bagh Krankshivan Colony SSopoe. During search, 143 grams of charas like substance was recovered from their possession.

They have been identified as Ghulam Hassan Dar, son of Ghulam Mohiudin Dar, a resident of Mohalla Telyan Sopore and Ghulam Qadir Malik son, of Ghulam Nabi Malik, a resident of Alamdar Colony Tahab Pulwama.

In Shopian, a police party from Police Post Wachi during naka checking at Wachi market intercepted a suspicious person who tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended.

During his search, 1.7 Kg charas like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Abdul Hameed Mir, son of Ghulam Nabi Mir, a resident of Darbagh.

All the three accused have been shifted to respective police stations.

Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective police stations and further investigation have been initiated.
