A resistance group based in Bahrain has claimed responsibility for its first-ever attack on Israel, adding a new dimension to the conflict in the Gaza Strip, international media reported.

The group, known as the Al-Ashtar Brigades and calling itself the Islamic Resistance in Bahrain, announced on Thursday that it had targeted the headquarters of an Israeli company, Trucknet Enterprises, located in the southern Israeli city of Eilat (also known as Umm al-Rashrash), using a drone. The attack was said to be in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza who are resisting Israeli aggression.

The Al-Ashtar Brigades stated that it will continue to support the Palestinian cause and conduct operations until Israeli aggression against Gaza ceases. This announcement echoes similar statements made by other factions in the Iran-aligned Axis of Resistance, including Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq and Syria, and the Houthi movement in Yemen.

In a related development, the Al-Ashtar Brigades shared a heavily edited video allegedly showing the planning and execution of the attack. The video prominently features portraits of four men: Reda al-Ghasra, Mustafa Yousef, Mahmoud Yahya, and Ahmed al-Malali.

These men were killed by Bahraini security forces in separate incidents and are considered martyrs by the Al-Ashtar Brigades, despite accusations of terrorism by Bahraini authorities.
