Preventive measures taken against more than 40 people; over 100 questioned

Jammu: Investigating the militant attack in Kathua earlier this month in which five armed personnel were killed, the Jammu and Kashmir police said on Thursday that they arrested two alleged overground workers (OGWs) involved in “supporting terror-related activities”.

In a statement, the police said that the duo was also found to have purposefully withheld crucial information, which they did not disclosed to the police in time.

Both deliberately chose not to disclose vital information to the police, thereby obstructing efforts to prevent terrorist actions.

“Through meticulous investigation, 02 OGWs have been identified as Layaqat Ali @Pawu S/o Gammi R/o Ward No. 07, Kalna Dhanu Parole Tehsil Billawar District Kathua and Mool Raj @Jenju S/o Uttam Chand R/o Bowli Mohalla Malhar Tehsil Malhar District Kathua.
