New Delhi: The External Affairs Ministry of India has reported that Indian students in the United States are being deported without any given reasons.

Over the past three years, 48 students have been sent back to India by US authorities without any stated grounds for their deportation. This information was disclosed by Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, in Parliament on Friday.

There has been a noticeable trend of Indian students moving abroad for education, with the US being a top destination. However, it has been observed that some students have been sent back to India without any explanation. This issue was highlighted in the Lok Sabha by BK Parthasarathi, who asked the External Affairs Ministry for the number of students deported by the USA in the last three years and the reasons for their deportation.

Parthasarathi also inquired if the Government had data on illegal migrants globally, particularly in the US, and what remedial actions are being taken in this regard.
