The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah launched a drone attack on northern Israel in retaliation for what it described as “attacks and assassinations” by Israel in several southern Lebanese villages, The Guardian reported.

The Israeli military reported that the attack injured two forces personnel and ignited a fire.

This incident heightens fears of an all-out war following the recent killings of a senior Hezbollah commander in Lebanon and Hamas’ political leader in Iran.

The Hezbollah drone attack seems to align more with ongoing border skirmishes than a direct response to the political assassinations. Fire services are currently working to extinguish the fire ignited by the attack in Ayelet HaShahar in the upper Galilee, according to the Israeli military, as report by The Guardian.
