New Delhi: Home Minister of India Amit Shah on Tuesday said that Narendra Modi government’s “zero-tolerance” policy against militancy has been appreciated by the entire world and India has become a world leader in anti-militancy initiatives.

His remarks came as he paid homage to the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Shah condemned the 2008 attacks, describing them as a heinous act where “cowardly terrorists” targeted innocent lives, bringing shame to humanity.

In a post on X, accompanied by the hashtag #MumbaiTerrorAttack, he expressed heartfelt tributes to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives fighting the attackers and remembered those who lost their lives.

Calling terrorism a stain on human civilization, Shah emphasised the Modi government’s unwavering stance against it, which has gained international praise. The attacks, carried out by ten Pakistani terrorists, claimed the lives of 166 people in one of India’s darkest moments.
