Srinagar: A viral video circulating on social media has raised alarm over a non-local man who reportedly roams the streets of Srinagar every evening in an intoxicated state, causing disturbances and engaging in altercations. The recurring incidents, particularly near Dawood Bridge in Nakashpora, have drawn the attention of local residents, many of whom are now urging the police to take swift action.

The footage shows the visibly drunk man shouting, hurling abuses, and attempting to attack a Kashmiri man who confronted him about his behaviour. In the video, the man behind the camera is heard asking why he continues to disturb people, to which the intoxicated man responds aggressively, waving his arms and telling him to leave.

Concerned residents, especially women and families who frequent the area, have expressed fears for their safety. “This poses a serious threat, particularly for women and children who may be out during the night,” said the man behind camera who is also a local resident.

The video uploader has appealed to the police and the Station House Officer (SHO) of the area to intervene before the situation escalates further.
