Police conducts raid in Baramulla in connection with banned organisation

Srinagar: Police on Thursday conducted a raid in the Jalal Sahib area of Old Town Baramulla, leading to the recovery of “incriminating material”. The raid was carried out based on credible intelligence inputs.

In a statement, the police said that a police team carried out a search operation at the residence of Irfan Ahmed Kababi,a member of the banned outfit Muslim League, in connection with case FIR12/2024 U/S 10,13 UAPA.

During search,  posters and i-card of Muslim league were seized, the statement said.

Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and purpose of this material.

Baramulla Police remains committed to maintaining law and urged public to co-operate and report any activities that “threaten peace and national integrity”, reads the statement.(GNS)
