NEET PG aspirants urge Govt to add more centres in Kashmir

Srinagar: Aspiring NEET PG candidates from Kashmir have appealed to the J&K Health and Family Welfare Minister to intervene and request the National Medical Commission (NMC) to allocate more examination centres in the Valley for the upcoming NEET PG 2025.

In a letter dated May 18, the students expressed concern over the limited number of Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres assigned to Kashmir for the NEET PG exam scheduled on June 15.

They pointed out that many students are being forced to travel to Jammu and other far-off regions in peak summer, leading to financial burden and mental stress due to travel and lodging requirements.

Terming the situation avoidable, the students suggested that since NEET PG is a shift-wise CBT, more centres could be allocated in Kashmir in the same manner as the JEE exams.

“We hope the issue is taken up with the NMC at the earliest to ensure fair opportunity and relief for aspirants in the region,” the letter reads.
