What started as a normal trip to Mecca turned into an unforgettable story of faith and determination for a young Libyan man who wouldn’t give up on his dream of performing Hajj.

Amer Al Mahdi Mansour Al Gaddafi, from Libya, had his heart set on joining millions of Muslims for the annual pilgrimage. But when he reached the airport, he was stopped at immigration. The issue was his surname — Al Gaddafi — which still raises alerts due to Libya’s past conflicts, Gulf News reported.

As the rest of his group boarded the flight, Amer was held back. He pleaded with airport officials, but the pilot decided to take off without him due to security concerns and a tight schedule.

Still, Amer refused to leave. “I won’t move from here unless it’s to go for Hajj,” he said.

Then something strange happened. The plane developed a technical problem and had to return. After a short delay and some repairs, it took off again — only to face another issue and return a second time.

After this, the pilot reportedly announced, “I swear I won’t fly again unless Amer is with us.”

Authorities quickly cleared Amer for travel. On the third try, with Amer on board, the flight finally took off without any problems.

The story went viral online, with many calling it a sign from God. “I only wanted to go to Hajj,” Amer said later. “And I believed that if it was meant to be, nothing could stop me.”
