Srinagar: Sajad Lone criticised Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Minister, likening him to a BJP spokesperson and accusing him of political hypocrisy.
In a post reacting to the CM’s meeting with Kapil Sibal, Lone said the CM now sounds more like a right-wing radical than the leader who once championed dialogue with Pakistan.
He questioned the CM’s shifting stance—cordiality with the Government of India turning into what he called “servility.” Lone asked whether the hostility shown before elections was a mere farce, contrasting the CM’s pre- and post-poll personas and likening it to “chronic political bi-polarity.”
Mocking the CM’s current rhetoric, Lone recalled how during elections, the CM opposed BJP and advocated for talks with Pakistan, even earning praise from then Pakistani defence minister Khwaja Asif. Now, the same CM indulges in Pakistan-bashing, Lone pointed out.
He also accused the CM of failing to deliver on promises, speaking apologetically about statehood, and reducing governance to administrative transfers and punishments. “No creativity, no new ideas,” Lone remarked.
Lone further questioned the CM’s refusal to support a special session on Operation Sindoor, and blamed his weak administrative performance on “dual control.”
He challenged the CM to start fulfilling electoral promises—like free electricity and gas, or regularising daily wagers—before blaming others.
Signing off with biting sarcasm, Lone wrote: “Looking forward to the day when CM sahib formally allies with the BJP. Why maintain the pretence when the political marriage happened decades ago during NDA-1?”
