The death toll from Israel’s ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip has reached 71,800 Palestinians killed and 171,555 injured since the start of the assault in October 2023, WAFA news service reported on Monday.

Health authorities reported that in the past 24 hours, five people were killed, including two whose bodies were recovered, and four were injured. Several victims remain trapped under rubble or in the streets, as ambulance and rescue crews are still unable to reach them.

Since the ceasefire entered into effect on 11 October 2025, the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks has risen to 526, with 1,447 injuries recorded, and 717 bodies recovered.

The ministry noted that many victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as emergency and civil defence crews are still unable to reach them due to ongoing attacks and access restrictions.

Since the implementation of the latest ceasefire on April 11, 2025, 526 Palestinians have been killed and 1,447 injured as a result of Israeli violations. Additionally, 717 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble during this period.

In October 2023, Israel, with backing from the United States and European countries, launched a genocidal war in Gaza that included widespread killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and mass arrests, ignoring repeated international calls and rulings from the International Court of Justice demanding a halt.
