Police in Sultan Bazaar, Hyderabad, on Saturday arrested four persons for allegedly carrying and displaying a photograph of Lawrence Bishnoi during a Hanuman Jayanti procession held on Thursday.

The action followed the circulation of a video on social media showing a group of youths displaying the poster. Based on the footage, police registered a case, identified those involved, and detained four persons. Officials said more suspects have been identified and efforts are underway to apprehend them, though no names have been disclosed.

Meanwhile, members of Bajrang Dal staged a protest outside the Sultan Bazaar police station, alleging that those arrested were linked to right-wing groups. The protesters raised slogans against the Hyderabad police and demanded the immediate release of the detainees. They also voiced opposition to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the ruling Congress government.
