New Delhi: The government of India (GOI) has decided to double the daily allocation of 5kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders for migrant labourers in each state based on demand, Petroleum Secretary Dr Neeraj Mittal announced on Tuesday.

“The daily quantity of 5kg FTL cylinder in each state available for disbursal to migrant labourers is being doubled based on the average daily supply (number of cylinders) to migrant labourers the official said.

These cylinders will be placed at the disposal of state governments or their Food/Civil Supplies departments for exclusive distribution to migrant labourers with the assistance of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), the official further added. (KNS)
