CBS News reported that Pakistan allegedly permitted Iranian military aircraft to use its airfields during the conflict between Iran and the United States, despite Islamabad simultaneously acting as a diplomatic channel between Tehran and Washington.
Citing unnamed US officials, the report said several Iranian aircraft were flown to Nur Khan Air Base near Rawalpindi soon after President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire in early April.
Among the aircraft allegedly relocated was an Iranian Air Force RC-130 reconnaissance aircraft.
The report further claimed that Iran also moved civilian planes to Afghanistan, including a Mahan Air aircraft that reportedly landed in Kabul before the conflict and remained there after Iranian airspace was shut.
However, a senior Pakistani official rejected the allegations regarding Nur Khan Air Base, telling CBS that it would be impossible to hide multiple aircraft at a military facility situated in the middle of a densely populated city.
