A drone has crashed into a non-residential building in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district on Wednesday, with emergency services sent to the scene, city authorities said.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said a drone crashed into a four-story business centre in the area. “In the Holosiivskyi district, a UAV fell on a four-storey business centre. Emergency services are heading to the scene,” Klitschko said, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
Details of possible casualties and extent of damage were not immediately available.
The incident occurred during a larger Russian drone attack on Ukraine overnight. Three people were injured in Kyiv and a warehouse in the Holosiivskyi district was hit and caught fire, Ukrainian authorities said. A fuel station and an office building in the district were also damaged, the Associated Press reported.
Drone debris also fell in the Solomianskyi and Darnytskyi districts, according to authorities.
