Youth disenchanted with dysfunctional system, not misguided: Tassaduq

‘They feel their aspirations not secure in a system with loopholes which fuels unemployment’

 

Pulwama: People’s Democratic Party’s by-poll candidate from Anantnag, Tassaduq Mufti on Sunday while reaching out to the youth said that they aren’t misguided but disenchanted with the dysfunctional system prevalent in the state.

Tassaduq, son of former Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed, also pointed out that they youth of the state are annoyed with the system which has many loopholes and feel that their aspirations are not secure.

“Some People say that our youth are misguided but I would say that they may just be disenchanted with dysfunctional system. The main reason for me joining the system is to rectify it and ensure that youth are the real beneficiary of the development process”, Tassaduq said while addressing youth workers in Pulwama.

 

“Earlier business houses staked crores of rupees on my ability as a professional and I didn’t disappoint them. Now people have reposed their faith in me and I will strive to stand up to their expectations”

 

He added, “They feel their aspirations are not secured. There are wide loop-holes in the system that fuel the cycle of unemployment. I want to assure you that your struggle is my struggle”.

Tassaduq, who is an ace cinematographer, mentioned that he never disappointed people who trusted him as a professional and hopes to repeat the same as a politician.

“Earlier business houses staked crores of rupees on my ability as a professional and I have proved myself there and didn’t disappoint those who trusted me. Now people have reposed their faith and expectations in me and I will strive to stand up to their expectations”, he said.

He also pointed out that the recent 80,000 crore economic package should be used for creating jobs and improving the lifestyle of the people.

“When we talk about finances we also refer to Rs 80,000 cr assistance secured by our alliance for the up-liftment of the state from the economic morass. My concern is that this money should be channelised to ensure job creation and improvement in the quality of life for our people”, he said.

Tassaduq reiterated that speacil focus is needed to preserve the natural resources of the state which is pivotal for sustainable development.
