I request that all of you who have come in contact with me in the last few days, please isolate yourself and get your inquiry done,” Shah Tweeted in Hindi.

Earlier on July 14, BJP Party chief for Jammu and Kashmir, Ravinder Raina was found positive for the deadly virus, following which he was shifted to Narayana hospital in Katra for the treatment.

More than a week after Raina tested positive for the second time, worried about his wellbeing, a party member from North Kashmir kept a day-long fast for the speedy recovery of the ailing leader.

Javaid Qureshi, a BJP District President from Bandipora district, said that besides fasting, he also prayed for the speedy recovery of Raina and entire leadership and workers in the party are very much concerned about Raina’s wellbeing.

On July 15, day after the state government of Bihar decided to implement a complete lockdown, at least 75 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and staff at the party headquarters, were found coronavirus positive.

A day before, samples of more than 100 leaders and staff working at BJP HQ in Patna were collected in which 75 people tested.

“Only 24 samples are positive. These reports are of preliminary rapid tests and we are still awaiting the results of the comprehensive QT-RPR. None of those who have tested positive are having any symptoms. Yet, by way of abundant caution, they have all quarantined themselves at home,” news reported had quoted BJP president Sanjay Jaiswal Bihar as saying.

Almost a week after Raina and BJP leaders from Patna got the infection, four-party workers part of the delegation that met Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu, during his Kupwara visit on July 18, tested COVID positive.

LG Murmu had visited district Kupwara to take stock of the developmental activities there.

As the news about these workers broke, District Development Commissioner’s office was fumigated and the employees, who managed the affairs during LG’s visit, were quarantined.
