Hours after the armies of China and India blamed each other for firing warning shots in south bank of Pangong Lake in Ladakh, along  the Line of Actual Control , China’s People’s Liberation Army armed with stick machetes have made its presence along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh sector.

Sharing a photo of Chinese armed forces standing near the LAC in the south bank of Pangong lake, a Delhi based news agency reported that China’s armed forces personnel are armed with stick machetes guarding the area.

“Chinese soldiers armed with stick machetes during their deployment along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh sector,” ANI wrote as a caption to the pictures showing around 30 Chinese troops standing with the sticks.

Earlier in the morning, China claimed that armed forces personnel from India have fired shots after crossing the Line of Actual Control in the south bank of Pangong Lake.

The move, according to reports, was taken following a series of provocative actions at the LAC by the Chinese army.

To this India responded by saying that it is the Chinese army who have been “blatantly violating agreements and carrying out aggressive manoeuvres”.
