JKBOSE postpones first examination paper of class 12th, scheduled on Nov 22

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) on Sunday rescheduled the first paper of 12th standard annual examinations following the clash with Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) exams.

Earlier, the first examination paper for the 12th standard was scheduled to be held on November 10; however, the examinations would commence from November 12.

BOSE Joint secretary examination Aijaz Ahmad Hakak said that the examination was postponed because it clashed with the SSRB exams that are scheduled on the same date (November-10).

He said that there was no change in the examination venue, however, the first paper that was slated on November 10 will be held on November 12.

The board earlier said that there would be a reduction of 40% of the syllabus for both the classes.

The announcement was made by the former advisor to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir K K Sharma.

“Annual Regular Exams for class10th & 12th will commence from 9th &10th Nov resp for Kmr & winter zone of Jammu. BOSE increases relaxation by 40℅, Students to attempt 60℅ marks which will be raised to 100%. Done in interest of Students.Exams will end on 27th Nov & 9th Dec resp” Sharma had tweeted.
