Why millennials consider real-estate a great, tangible investment option

As Robert Kiyosaki, cited “real-estate investing even on a very small scale remains a tried and true means of building an individual’s cash flow and wealth.”

Ever since civilization, real-estate has been a great- tangible investment option. The current level of Indian real-estate is $120 billion in 2020 and is estimated to reach $650 billion by the end of 2040. These stats clearly show that the realty sector is one of the largest and highest contributors to the country’s GDP.

However, the stats alone can’t suffice the benefits of investing in this advantageous sector. There are ‘n’ number of reasons but the major one being its longevity.

Every human earns for investing in their future and of their future generations. When you invest in stocks and mutual funds, the risks involved are very high, and in-depth research is required. But, there are very low or negligible risks involved with the realty space after the RERA has been regulating this sector.

Real-estate is changing dynamically, and so are the investors. According to industry experts, there has been a rise of 66% in millennial home buyers. Generation ‘X’ has always been known for taking risks and renting homes or commercial spaces. But, with the pandemic 2020, everyone understood the need to have their own space. It gave rise to real-estate investors by 78%. There are a few primary reasons for this surge likely:

Low-risk and High Returns

There are rare chances that the value of your property will depreciate. But, with many builders offering assured returns,  today’s generation is feeling the need for investing in a sector that proposes high and long-term returns as there is no way one can survive on their salaries alone. Hence, the bonds and funds have superseded by the real-estate.

No Rental worries

Today’s generation existed entirely based on credits, EMI’s, and rents. Stability and owning a space of their own was out of the question until they had a family. But, during the lockdown, the generation rent understood the need for possessing their own home as the economic slowdown resulted in job losses, crashing of the market, and much more. That’s when everyone ran after owning a ready to move in property and, the demand for the same increased.

Walk to work

Even in the earlier times, people preferred working at the locations which were near to their home. It not just helped them in saving time but money too. Delhi NCR is developing at a fast pace and, commercial spaces with world-class infrastructure made it easier for people to invest smartly.

Lucrative deals

After the lockdown was uplifted the developers came up with lots of lucrative deals to make it easier for people to invest. Everyone is aware of the squeezed purchasing capacity of the investors hence, it was very crucial to bring them out of hibernation with deals and offers to make the units available in their budget.

Investors today are smart and knowledgeable. Also, they understand the need for having an investment that will be profitable in every aspect. Real- estate investment is no more just about homes but commercial spaces too. All we need today is good marketing to attract potential investors and be able to meet their needs.
