Rajasthan: Fourteen officials from Hindustan Copper Limited who were trapped inside a mine in Neem Ka Thana, Rajasthan, have been successfully rescued by relief teams on Wednesday morning. Tragically, one official was found dead at the scene. The incident occurred when the lift carrying the officials in the Kolihan mine collapsed on Tuesday night.
Initially, there was confusion regarding the number of individuals rescued, with reports suggesting that all 15 trapped individuals had been rescued. However, subsequent updates clarified that all 14 surviving officials were safely rescued. Three of them required immediate medical attention and were transported to a hospital due to fractures sustained during the incident.
The rescue operation involved extensive efforts overnight, with multiple ambulances and medical teams deployed to the site. The trapped officials were located approximately 577 meters deep within the mine shaft.
