Srinagar: In preparation for August 15, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with other armed forces, have implemented extensive measures to ensure safety and peace.
Deployment has been put in place with advanced surveillance, increased patrolling, and rigorous checks to address any potential threats, officials told Kashmir News Agency.
Authorities are collaborating across areas, using visible and hidden methods to maintain order and prevent disruptions, including deploying additional personnel, advanced monitoring technology, and joint efforts by Police, CRPF, the Army, and BSF.
Officials said that authorities will introduce a three-tiered security system across district headquarters, with a focus on Srinagar. “Security arrangements have been meticulously planned. Patrolling is ongoing, and both covert and overt surveillance is in place,” said a senior police official.
The official said enhanced security includes increased frisking and rigorous surveillance to facilitate the smooth movement of people and maintain public order.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is scheduled to preside over the main August 15 event, which will feature a series of special events planned by the Jammu and Kashmir administration.
