Trump nears presidency with wins in key swing US states, Harris trails with 19 states

Republican candidate Donald Trump has secured victories in over 30 states, including key battlegrounds like Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Indiana, and Kentucky, while Democrat Kamala Harris has won only 19 states so far, as early projections come in. Ballot counting is still ongoing in the remaining counties.

Trump is now on the brink of the presidency, having captured three swing states, including Pennsylvania, and is leading in others, bringing his electoral vote total to 267.

With voting now closed, the counting of ballots has begun in many states, with early in-person and mail-in votes expected to be tallied first. Over 82 million Americans took part in early voting for this election.
