Several Palestinian homes in Rafah city, located in the southern Gaza Strip, caught fire on Monday following Israeli army attacks, according to eyewitnesses.
Witnesses reported that Israeli drones and tanks targeted central Rafah, igniting multiple homes.
Additionally, Israeli forces launched attacks in the eastern areas of Gaza City, though no casualties were recorded.
These incidents occurred despite the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement implemented last month, which temporarily halted Israel’s devastating assault that claimed over 48,300 lives and left Gaza in ruins.
Since January 19, Palestinian officials have documented more than 350 violations of the ceasefire by Israeli forces, resulting in 92 deaths and 822 injuries.
In November 2024, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its military campaign in the enclave.
