New Delhi: Colonel Sofiya Qureshi has said that Pakistan is increasing its attacks along India’s western border.
In a briefing, she said military sites are being targeted using drones, fighter jets, loitering munitions, and long-range weapons.
Over 26 air-based infiltration attempts were recorded. These caused damage to equipment and injuries to personnel at Air Force bases in Udhampur, Bhuj, Pathankot, and Bathinda.
Col Qureshi said high-speed missiles also hit Punjab’s air base at 1:40 am. She added that attacks have not been limited to defence sites—schools, hospitals, and civilian areas have also come under fire.
India, she said, has responded quickly and effectively, neutralising several threats and staying strong despite repeated provocations.
