Ganderbal: As the annual Mata Kheer Bhawani pilgrimage began in Tulmulla, Ganderbal, pilgrims expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome and arrangements made by the local authorities.
Many devotees described the arrival as a ‘homecoming,’ feeling both safe and blessed by the hospitality extended to them. The meticulously planned safety measures, comfortable accommodations, and spiritual atmosphere at the temple have left pilgrims deeply moved.
The annual pilgrimage to Mata Kheer Bhawani officially begun on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner of Ganderbal, Jitin Kishore, warmly welcomed the pilgrims with flowers, setting a festive and spiritual tone at the temple.
The district administration has made comprehensive arrangements to ensure the safety, comfort, and smooth stay of the devotees. From security measures to sanitation and healthcare services, every aspect has been carefully planned to accommodate the influx of pilgrims.
“We are fully committed to providing all necessary support to ensure a peaceful and enriching pilgrimage experience,” said Jitin Kishore. “The administration has worked diligently to ensure everything is in place.”
Pilgrims expressed their deep gratitude and joy upon arrival. “It feels like coming home,” said Sunita Raina, a devotee from Jammu. “The welcome and arrangements have truly touched our hearts. We feel both safe and blessed.”
The annual Mata Kheer Bhawani yatra is a major religious event for Kashmiri Pandits, attracting thousands of devotees to the sacred spring in Tulmulla each year.
Senior officials, including DIG CRPF, SSP Ganderbal, ASP Ganderbal, and the Deputy Commissioner, personally extended a warm welcome to the arriving pilgrims.
The officials greeted the devotees with flowers, creating a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere, reflecting the administration’s dedication to ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for all participants.
