Pakistan has conveyed a set of US ceasefire proposals to Iran and is currently awaiting Tehran’s response, signalling a possible diplomatic opening amid intensifying conflict, sources told Al Jazeera.
However, Iran’s military has rejected claims by Donald Trump that negotiations are underway, dismissing them as unfounded and reiterating its commitment to continue fighting.
Meanwhile, hostilities persist across the region. Joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran have continued, while Iranian missile launches triggered sirens across Israel, forcing civilians to take shelter, Al Jazeera reported.
The conflict has also spread to neighbouring countries. Air defence systems in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia intercepted incoming missiles and drones. In Kuwait, authorities reported a fire at the country’s main airport after a fuel tank was hit in a strike.
In Lebanon, Israeli forces carried out air raids on Beirut and advanced further into southern parts of the country, following announcements of plans to occupy the region.
Casualty figures continue to rise across multiple fronts, with updates being tracked in real time by international media outlets.
