Prior to resuming the protest, leaders Sarwan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallewal addressed the media at the Shambu border, urging the Modi government to remove barricades for a peaceful march to Delhi, expressing their willingness to make sacrifices for the nation’s benefit. Sarwan Singh Pandher appealed Modi to acknowledge their demands, saying it is their right to hold a peaceful march towards Delhi.
An estimated 14,000 people, accompanied by 1,200 tractor-trolleys, 300 cars, and 10 mini-buses, have gathered along the Punjab-Haryana border, according to government estimates.
